Privacy policy
What we collect, why, for how long, and how you can exercise your rights. Minimal approach, a single purpose for cohort 1: processing your application to the programme.
Data controller
ActionSporTech, operational lead of the ASCENT programme, is the controller of the processing operations described here. Contact: ascent@actionsportech.fr.
Data collected
Via the application form (Apply page), we collect:
- Contact: first name, last name, email, phone, role in the project
- Project: name, action sports vertical, stage, website, LinkedIn, description, value proposition, traction
- Team: size, description
- Documents: Drive or Notion shared link, pitch link, deck link
- Acceptance: €3,000 fee, cohort language, GDPR consent
Single purpose: review your application to ASCENT cohort 1 by the three-party jury (ActionSporTech, EuroSIMA, Mont X) and send you the decision. No other purpose.
Legal basis
Processing is based on your freely given, informed and unambiguous consent when submitting the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to ascent@actionsportech.fr.
Retention
Application data is retained during the jury review period, then for 12 months after the decision is notified to allow for possible appeals. After that, data is deleted, unless you explicitly agree to keep it for future cohorts.
Recipients
Data is processed by:
- ActionSporTech (Tony Trancard), operational lead
- EuroSIMA (Christophe Seiller), jury member
- Mont X (Marie-Eve Presseau), jury member
- External jury experts (finance and sustainability)
- Netlify, Inc. and Gandi as technical sub-processors (hosting and email)
No data is shared with third parties outside the scope of application review.
Audience measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site audience. Processing is conditioned on your consent through the cookie banner. Without consent, no analytics cookie is set and no browsing data is sent to Google.
Google Analytics runs in Consent Mode v2 with all advertising permissions denied by default. Only audience measurement is enabled on consent, with IP anonymisation.
Cookies
- Preference cookie,
ascent.consent.v1, stored in localStorage, keeps your accept or decline choice for audience measurement. Duration: 12 months. - Google Analytics cookies, set only if you accept audience measurement. Duration: up to 14 months.
- Netlify Forms, a technical cookie may be set by Netlify when submitting the form for anti-spam protection.
Your rights
Under GDPR and French data protection law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data. Exercise these rights by email: ascent@actionsportech.fr.
If you feel your rights are not respected, you can file a complaint with the French DPA CNIL, cnil.fr.
Security
Data is stored on Netlify servers, encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted to the operational team via strong authentication.
Updates
This policy may evolve. Any substantial change will be notified by email to people who have given their consent. Current version: April 2026.
